Our next Kickstarter to print our next sequel, The Book of Demons launches on Tuesday, March 30. Gwynn is diligently working on the art and the plan is to have it ready to go to our letterer, Troy Peteri, by the end of the campaign. The Plague Doctor pins (1 inch in diameter) are in and I have already mailed the first one off to the winner of our idea contest, Marisa C. I've also got some terrific digital bundles planned as well as pin up art by Ashley Woods (Niobe, Black Panther, Bitter Root) and Roberta Ingranata (Witchblade, Dr. Who, Penny Dreadful).

The Ghost Ship Audio Drama Casting Update
Casting auditions closed for the three leads (Samuel, Caitlin, and Granville) on Saturday, March 13. We were swamped with auditions and I can tell you that the talent was amazing and it will be hard to chose. I will be reaching out to our top contenders very soon with call backs. If you auditioned, you will be notified by me of your status shortly. If you didn't make the cut, do not worry, we do have some other important supporting roles and bit parts to be cast next month. For those who are interested, below are the particulars for auditioning for The Ghost Ship Audio Drama. In the meantime, don't forget that we launch on March 30 for The Book of Demons.
We are currently casting the three leads and the narrator.
Supporting character auditions will be posted at a later date.
This is a non-union paid project.
The Ghost Ship is a steampunk supernatural eight-episode story based in the Boston Metaphysical Society universe. If you’re not familiar with it, it is a graphic novel and prose series written and created by Madeleine Holly-Rosing (http://www.bostonmetaphysicalsociety.com). Audio drama veterans Eddie Louise (Sage and Savant) is on board as the script editor as well as Chip Michael (Sage and Savant) as the sound engineer.
The overall series follows an ex-Pinkerton detective, a spirit photographer, and a genius scientist who battle supernatural forces in late 1800s Boston.
The audio drama is about the investigation of a ghost ship that sails into Boston Harbor. Its appearance leads to the death of several innocents and the team of Samuel Hunter, Caitlin O’Sullivan, and Granville T. Woods must solve the mystery before anyone else dies.
Episode Information
· This is a call for an eight-episode drama.
· Project is Non-Union. Lead actors will be compensated $60 Per episode. Supporting actors will be paid $25-$40 per episode. Narrator will be paid $25 per episode.
· Recording will be done remotely.
· Actors must have their own set-up and be willing to schedule recording time with the cast, director, and sound engineer on Zencaster.
AUDITION INFORMATION
· You must be 18 years old or older to audition.
· Please record with whatever setup you will use while performing. Do not perform any edits other than before and after sound removal.
· Please record no more than three takes.
· Please save your files as a .wav or .aif. Name your files “CharacterName _ Your Name.”
o Please submit a separate file for each character.
o You can audition for as many characters as you like.
· Please send auditions and questions to: [email protected]
· Auditions are due by Midnight PST on Saturday, March 13th.
· Auditions are open for any of the characters listed below. Please audition for any role you are comfortable playing. Marginalized actors, especially BIPOC and trans actors, are highly encouraged to apply.
· For first round casting we will be identifying the actors we like for each of the three lead roles. We will then send second round scripts with scenes to play in order to find the VAs that sound best and work best off of each other.

Countdown To The Next Kickstarter Has Begun!

Yes, the Kickstarter to print Boston Metaphysical Society: The Book of Demons has begun! We launch on Tuesday, March 30 around 11:30ish am PST. (The 11:30ish is so I can eat lunch.) Even bigger and better than last time, it will be a 48 page perfect bound book. Here's a sneak peek at a few panels.
The Ghost Ship Audio Drama Update
The scripts for all eight episodes are done! I'm waiting to get notes back from my script editor for episodes 3-6, then hand over the last two. I've got a casting notice drafted and I hope to post that in the next few weeks. We will be casting the three leads (Samuel, Caitlin, and Granville) and the narrator first, then the secondary characters. This will be a paid non-union project.
Since I've been contacted by a number of you on when the auditions will take place, I decided that I will post a link here when it goes live.

I'm thrilled to announce that Source Point Press/Ox Eye Media is set to republish the Boston Metaphysical Society sequels: The Scourge of the Mechanical Men, The Spirit of Rebellion, and Ghosts and Demons. New Boston Metaphysical Society Lapel Pin Reveal

Hello Awesome Backers:
I'm happy to announce that our next Boston Metaphysical Society lapel pin will be the plague doctor. The proof is below. Art by Alejandro Lee. When produced, it will be a one inch in diameter die struck pin with an antique bronze finish. It will be part of our next Kickstarter which I have planned for March.
Meanwhile, Gwynn has been plugging away on The Book of Demons (41 pages). Here is a panel that I can share with you. :)
AUDIO DRAMA UPDATE
I've finished the first six episodes in the eight episode series. So yeah! Still working out the budget before I start sending out casting notices, but I will say that Thomas Edison will be making a guest appearance. :)
