First things first...the script for Boston Metaphysical Society: The Book of Demons is now in Gwynn's hands. It will be a 41 page story in a 48 page perfect bound book. Which means more story for you! As art comes in, I will post. :)
Boston Metaphysical Society: The Ghost Ship Audio Drama
Though this is a long term project, I wanted to share the cover art by Gwynn Tavares which will be on the CD Jewel Case Reward Tier and possibly be available for a special commission tier where you are drawn into the setting with the characters. We even have the opening music theme done! This eight episode audio drama called, The Ghost Ship, is set during the time of the original graphic novel and features, Samuel, Granville, and Caitlin. I’m working with the writer and sound engineer from Sage and Savant to make that happen. Each episode will be about 30 minutes long. Unfortunately, the release date has fluctuated quite a bit because of the pandemic and other deadlines. At this point I’ve tentatively scheduled a Kickstarter for this in the Fall of 2021, but that could change.

MENAGERIE: DECLASSIFIED ANTHOLOGY
I am so excited about this Kickstarter as I got to go back to my roots and write a scifi story for the anthology, Menagerie: Declassified, called The Infinity Tree. It's about xenobiologist Dr. Charity Parks mission to extract a plant that might be a fountain of youth for humanity, but what it has to offer Charity is much more. I love science fiction, so I was thrilled when I was hired to go play in Ramon Govea's universe. The art is by Edgy Zaine and is fantastic. I've got a few updates for you. Here we go:
Next Graphic Novel
It will be called Boston Metaphysical Society: The Book of Demons and though technically it will be a standalone, it will be a continuation of Ghosts and Demons. I have finished a first draft and it looks like the story will be 40 pages long, but that may alter a tiny bit as I rewrite. It will bookend the last three sequels. Either way you get more story!! It should be ready to go to Gwynn in November or early December which puts us at an early Spring Kickstarter. (Just like I planned.)
Novel
I just got the edits back from my editor for my novel Boston Metaphysical Society: The House Wars (Book 1). I will be doing a deep dive into that this weekend. Not sure how long the rewrite will take, but I hope to have it done by November.
Audio Play
The story bible for The Ghost Ship is complete as are the first two episodes. They are off to the editor and the sound engineer has been educating me. (Thank you, Chip.). Lots to learn here, but I've got a great team. I look forward to sharing more on that later.

I hope this update finds you safe and healthy.
The various moving parts of Boston Metaphysical Society are moving along. My draft of my next novel, Boston Metaphysical Society: The House Wars (Book 1), is going off to my editor in two weeks. I finished the first draft of Episode 1 (of 8) of what I plan to be a four-hour audio play. I still have to nail down the budget on it, but I have a terrific editor and sound engineer on board. That story is called, Boston Metaphysical Society: The Ghost Ship. More on that later. Next on the plate is the next graphic novel. As I mentioned in the last update, Gwynn Tavares is back on board as the artist.
For those of you who are curious to see what one of Gwynn's commissions from the Kickstarter look like, the backer who pledged to this tier kindly gave me permission to post it. So here is the demon being memorized by a magical musician!

The Future
I'm busy rewriting the next Boston Metaphysical novel and once that goes to the editor, I will dive into the next standalone sequel graphic novel. I may be back on Kickstarter in the Fall with another BMS project, but I have some work to do on that first.
Kickstarter has a number of cool campaigns going on right now. A couple of my favorites are Duplicant and Wannabee Press Summer Fantasy/Science Fiction Novel Slate.
DUPLICANT
At its heart, Duplicant is a thriller about the forces conspiring against the one man who offers hope during a pandemic.
